The CritIQ Cray-Cray but in a good way. A larger-than-life bugged-out persona but with a naïve sentimental edge.

mvgiordano This album is full of heartfelt lyrics amazingly wrapped (see what I did there?) with tight beats.

Another Canadian rapper that far more people need to know about. Favorite track: Striver's Dictionary.

Rhokeheart Amazing smooth conscious r and b inspired conscious hip hop from Canada! Presented with style, humbleness, and confidence a rare blend.

Austerity Nissenfeld The Rhino is indeed mighty. Sat upon a mount of words and jazz and beats this album delivers the devoted from the plague of mediocrity. Favorite track: Whaddup Witcha (ft. More Or Les & Rittz).

about

You’ve never heard a rapper—or seen a live performer—anything like The Mighty Rhino. Since bursting onto the scene in 2007 as the breakout star of the “Toronto institution” known as Hip Hop Karaoke, he’s been wrecking mics and destroying stages with his live-wire energy and irrepressible zest for life. His explosive debut album, ‘He Whom The Beat Sets Free Is Free Indeed’, arrived to stellar reviews in late 2011, and since then it’s become clear that the sky is the limit.

Rhino’s dynamism truly has to be seen to be believed. He’s been called “electric” by Maclean’s magazine, “a legend in the making” by Torontoist, and “one of the best things to happen to hip-hop” by Billy Danze of the legendary M.O.P. His razor-sharp rhymes and blistering “Brother Ali meets Busta Rhymes” delivery have made fans out of a host of hip-hop royalty, including Brother Ali himself as well as Juno Award winner and onetime CBC Radio "Q" host Shad, old-school East Coast kings Jeru The Damaja and Masta Ace, Canadian rap icons Michie Mee and Maestro Fresh Wes, West Coast underground legend Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, rising Southern superstar Rittz (who appears in a show-stopping guest spot on the high-octane banger "Whaddup Witcha"), and more. His signature song, the captivating "Company Policy", earned him nominations at the Toronto Independent Music Awards and the International Songwriting Competition in 2012. And through it all, his infectious optimism and unstoppable stage presence have won him the hearts of legions of fans, one blown mind at a time. With the impending late 2017/early 2018 release of his thrilling sophomore set, We Will No Longer Retreat Into Darkness, featuring a staggering supporting cast ranging from Juno alumni Adam Bomb and D-Sisive to an array of bona fide rap legends (Prince Po, Big Rube, Witchdoctor, Myka 9, OG Big Mike, Fatlip) and his old friend More Or Les, his legacy of devastating greatness is certain to only continue. Rhino Salute!
